How to make a traditional Christmas ornament silhouette

Introduction

Use these beautiful silhouettes as tree decorations, greeting cards, or string a bunch together to make a banner. Simply download the lady cameo and background design, which are the lyrics to the classic Christmas song "Silent Night". Print everything on cardstock, cut it out, stick the pieces together, and hang.

Step 1

Prepare the materials

Download and print background paper and silhouette ovals. Using scissors or a paper cutter, cut the background paper into 3-1/2" x 5" rectangles. Use scissors to cut out the silhouette ovals.

Add brightness

Use a small brush to apply glue around the edge of the oval. Generously sprinkle glitter onto the glue and tap to remove excess. Let dry.

Add sticky dots

For dimension, use foam dots to secure the shiny oval to the background paper.

Attach string to hang

Use a small drill to insert a hole in each top corner of the background paper. Thread yarn through holes and tie in a bow for hanging.
