Transform your yard into a haunted wonderland with these oversized, bloodshot eye decorations. Scatter them around for a chilling effect that kids will love. As a DIY crafting expert, I've perfected this simple project that's perfect for Halloween.

Use medium-grit sandpaper to roughen the ball's surface. This ensures better paint adhesion. Wipe away dust with a dry cloth before painting.

Apply an even coat of white spray paint or primer. Multiple coats may be needed for full coverage. Sand lightly with fine-grit sandpaper between coats to smooth any bumps.

Once dry, place a medium bowl in the center of the ball and trace around it with black paint to outline the pupil.

Remove the bowl and fill the circle completely with black paint to form the pupil.

After drying, paint a blue iris around the pupil using the black circle as a guide for a perfect shape.

Once the iris is dry, add wavy red lines radiating toward the pupil and iris. Vary the lines for a realistic, eerie effect—embrace imperfection for authenticity.

Allow full drying, make touch-ups, then seal with clear spray sealer. Follow label instructions for drying time.

Make eyeballs in various sizes and scatter them across your yard. They'll delight children and become interactive Halloween favorites.
