Begin by cutting a beard shape from felt fabric. Make the top edge, spanning from ear to ear across the nose, about 9½ inches wide for a perfect fit.
Cut a bundle of yarn to 32 inches. Tie it at the center with thread to form the nose bridge. Add knots 2 inches from the center on both sides for the mouth corners. Braid the ends, tie off, and trim neatly.
Gather yarn into 36-inch lengths for a thick bundle. Fold in half, secure the fold with a binder clip, and loosely braid from the clip down. Tie off the end with string.
Using hot glue, attach the mustache to the top lip area of the felt, allowing braids to drape down. Secure the looped top of the soul patch braid to the bottom center.
Cut numerous 28-inch yarn lengths. Fold each in half and glue along the top edge of the felt for fullness.
