The center bar should be roughly 8 inches wide and match your dog's back length. For a medium dog, straps measure 23 inches end-to-end, with a center panel 8 inches wide by 9 inches long.
For authentic ladybug wings, draw a shape 3 inches wide at the base, 5-1/2 inches at the widest, and 12 inches long (scale as needed for your dog). Cut one wing, flip it upside down on red felt to trace and cut the matching pair precisely.
Cut ten 2-inch black felt circles for the classic ladybug spots.
Sew or glue the dots securely in place on each wing for a durable finish.
