Fold the sleeves forward and cut at the hem to create the lace-up corset placket. Extend the ribbon up around the neck for a stylish halter strap.

Fold the T-shirt in half lengthwise with the design facing out. Cut straight from below the neck hole to just above the shoulder seam through all four layers. Cut a small hole (about 1/2 inch) near the top of the shoulder on each side. This ensures the dress top sits perfectly above the bust like a tube top.

Fold the T-shirt in half with the front facing in. Cut notches along the inside edge of each sleeve, stopping short of the seam. Space notches 1/2 inch apart up to the sleeve hole. Repeat on the other sleeve, matching the number and alignment perfectly.

Lay the T-shirt flat, face up. Fold the sleeves so they're about 1 inch apart in the center. Attach a safety pin to each end of the ribbon for easy threading.

Turn the shirt so the neckline faces you. Double the ribbon and start threading through the bottom sleeve hem notches. Alternate sides through the notches, crossing the ribbon to keep it centered.

At the top of the sleeves, ensure ribbon ends extend on both sides. Thread each end through the small shoulder hole on its side to form the halter straps.

Try it on, adjust the neck strap for the perfect fit, and style away. For more of Ariel's creative projects, visit Custom Catastrophes.
