As a seasoned crafter with years of experience creating personalized keepsakes, I've found that repurposing your wedding or engagement ring box into a custom Christmas ornament captures the magic of your special day. This beautiful, handmade heirloom celebrates walking down the aisle and your first holiday season as newlyweds.

Print your names and wedding date in a single straight line using a classic 12-point font. Cut the paper into a 1-inch strip and trim the ends into triangles for a flag-style banner.

Apply a small amount of tacky glue along the edges of the paper strip. Gently rub it with your finger for a smooth finish.

Sprinkle glitter along the edges of the paper strip, then allow it to dry completely.

Cut a piece of ribbon about 18 inches long. Position the center along the bottom of the ring box.

Flip the ring box over and tape the ribbon in place. Tuck the ends inside the box opening and secure with a dab of tacky glue if necessary.

Turn the ring box over and apply two small dots of tacky glue along the top edges.

Run the ribbon up the sides of the box and press it into the glue. Wipe away any excess.

Tie the ribbon at the top to form a hanging loop. Slide a wedding photo into the box, then attach the glittered paper strip with tacky glue. Let everything dry fully.
