Position the small cube-shaped brackets in the inside corners of the window frame. Orient one open side outward and the other toward the center (Image 1).
Slide the blind unit into the brackets with the cords facing into the room (Image 2).
Lock the shade in place using the small plastic clips that secure into the brackets.
Follow the manufacturer's instructions to attach the long plastic rod to the shade's control mechanism. Use the wand to tilt open and close the blind slats effortlessly.

Shortening blinds is straightforward using the included instructions and diagrams. Fully extend the blinds so the bottom rail rests on the window sill to measure the ideal length.
Remove the plastic retaining tabs from the bottom rail (Image 1).
Slide off the larger bottom piece and cut the lift strings to the desired length.
Discard excess slats (Image 2).
Reattach the bottom rail to the final slat (Image 3).
Tie off the cord ends and tuck them into the slots beneath the bottom rail.
