This craft is actually two projects in one. Children and their parents will love the bright colors and the hours of fun they can have making flowers in many different colors and sizes. The pots can also be fully customized to be exactly what the child wants.

Gather tools and materials for flowers

To make a flower, you will need eight cupcake liners, a glue gun, a glue stick, a button/jewel, and a pipe/stick cleaner.

Pick up liners

Each flower will use eight cupcake liners of any size and color. You could even mix the colors for a really unique flower.

First fold

Fold each of the linings in half.

Second fold

Fold the lining in half again.

Third fold

Finally, fold one of the halves back and then fold the other half back so it looks like a zigzag.

Glue two liners together

Take two liners and using a glue stick, glue the two dots together. Hold them tight for about 30 seconds, then pull them back. Glue two more together and hold firmly. Repeat this step until all liners are glued in pairs.

Paste both pairs together

Glue two sets together at the points and hold for about 30 seconds, and repeat on the other side.

Coming full circle

Make sure all the pieces create a complete circle. Let it sit for a few minutes while the glue dries completely.

Button up

Turn the flower over and glue a button, jewel or small pom in the center of the flower.

Put a stem on it

Use a glue gun to secure a pipe cleaner or stick to the back of the flower.

Repeat the whole process to create a bouquet.

Tin vase tools and materials

To make a colorful pot to match the cupcake flowers, you'll need a tin can, tissue paper, scissors, Mod Podge, and a foam brush.

Cut tissue paper

Cut several strips of tissue paper; It doesn't matter if the strips are the same size.

Apply adhesive

Dip the foam brush into the Mod Podge and start painting around the bottom of the can.

Wrap in tissue paper

Apply Mod Podge a small portion at a time and start wrapping a piece of tissue paper around the can. Continue wrapping the fabric around the entire circumference until you have wrapped the can all the way around.

Cover the can completely

Continue with as many pieces of fabric as you like. Trim the ends of the fabric so that there is no excess hanging. Then add flowers.
