Begin by measuring your pillow to calculate fabric needs. For our 17-inch square pillow, add 1 inch for seam allowance (18 inches wide). Double for the body length (36 inches), then add 3-4 inches for back overlap, totaling 40 inches. Cut fabric to size.

Fold ½ inch on all four edges, starting with the longer sides, and press with an iron on the correct fabric setting. The longer edges hide inside, but fold shorter edges another ½ inch for a clean, professional look.

Cut iron-on fusible tape to match shorter edge lengths. Sandwich between folds and press firmly to bond fabric securely.

Center pillow on fabric, fold edges to fit snugly with 3-4 inch back overlap. Pin overlap and remove pillow.

Cut fusible tape for open edges, place between allowances, and iron to seal pillowcase completely.

Apply short fusible tape strip to bond overlapping fabric, then iron.
