Inspired by Scandinavian Christmas traditions of hanging decorated branches from the ceiling, this DIY adds a fresh spring twist. Craft realistic paper leaves and flowers to suspend from a branch above your outdoor dining table for a vibrant, whimsical centerpiece.

Cut leaf shapes from various shades of green crepe paper. Vary the sizes for a natural, organic look in your final arrangement.

Fold one end of each leaf in half. This will be the attachment point for gluing to the branch.

Twist the opposite end of the leaf slightly to add shape and movement.

For the roses, cut rectangles from red crepe paper.

Lay out the rectangular strips and gently stretch them lengthwise to create a textured, ruffled effect.

Fold each rectangle loosely in half without a sharp crease, forming a soft bubble shape.

Start rolling one end tightly into a spiral until you reach the other end.

Flip the rolled flower over and glue the end in place. Tape the base if needed for extra hold.

Glue the flowers onto the branch, grouping them at the tips for a realistic bloom effect.

Glue the leaves onto the branch, clustering at the ends for natural foliage.
