



As a DIY crafter with years of upcycling projects under my belt, start by threading one end of scrap knit fabric through the eye of a darning needle (Image 1). Align the ends of your floor mats evenly for a seamless join. Push the needle through the end of the first mat (Image 2), then back through the second mat to connect them (Image 3). Tie a secure knot in the fabric scrap (Image 4).



Repeat the stitching process along the entire edge to bond the mats securely (Image 1). Attach additional mats to reach your preferred runner length. Trim excess knit ties, leaving fringe on both sides if desired (Image 2). Step back and enjoy your custom, budget-friendly runner rug (Image 3).
