As seasoned deck builders, we know hot tub decks often have limited space. This bench sits on the deck edge, leaning back for stability. Secure the 4x4 support posts firmly to the deck edge first.
Create an adjustable template to set the ideal bench angle. Cut wood to match the template exactly. Use a socket wrench to screw the seat stays and backrest supports into place securely.
Lay pressure-treated 2x4s over the seat supports and screw them down. Once the seat is set, attach 2x4s to the back using coated deck screws. Leave small gaps between boards for a polished, even appearance.
