We made our Advent calendar for a Christmas tree bridal shower. Each guest was instructed to bring an ornament to gift to the happy couple and then toss them into these no-sew bags for a festive gift-opening experience. The bride was delighted to come home with a tree decorations, plus an Advent calendar that can be used year after year.
Align the box with the piece of felt. Leave about an inch on each side of the box for folding and gluing later.
As if you were wrapping a gift, fold each side over, then use a glue gun to hold the seams together.
If the edges are not on both sides, cut them so they are level.
Print the number template and cut out individual numbers to use as templates.
Turn the number over and trace it onto the contrasting piece of felt.
Cut out each number.
Use a glue gun to adhere the numbers to the front of the bag.
Use string and clothespins to secure the bags to a shelf or wall.
