Start by sourcing an old boat hull from a local shipyard or salvage yard (Image 1). Sand the interior smooth for a safe, polished finish (Image 2).
Note: Verify the interior is wide and long enough for a standard double mattress.

Construct a sturdy frame inside the hull to support the mattress using 2x4 lumber: two shorter end pieces and two longer side pieces. Add three cross members in the center for reinforcement. Secure everything with screws long enough to penetrate both pieces fully.

Measure plywood to match the mattress dimensions. For precise cuts, snap a chalk line as a guide for your circular saw.

Cut the plywood to size and fasten it securely to the frame using screws.

If the hull won't fit through the door, carefully cut it in half. Once inside (Image 1), reassemble with heavy-duty brackets (Image 2).
Always measure the boat's dimensions before navigating stairs.

Removing the hull bottom enhances floor stability. Install four 4x4 feet beneath the benches (Image 1). Position each foot under the seats and drill through for secure attachment (Image 2).

Fasten the feet to the bench seats with screws for rock-solid stability.

Slide the frame into place and anchor it to the boat with screws (Image 1), angling them at 45 degrees for maximum hold (Image 2).
