How to Make an Easy Sewing Ribbon Burp Cloth

Step 1

Cut the first tape

Measure and cut the tape slightly longer than the length of the cloth diaper.

Step 2

Cut the second tape

Cut the ruffled ribbon exactly the same length as the first ribbon.

Step 3

Sew the ribbon

Place the two tapes evenly on top of each other and center them along a seam in the diaper. Pin the ribbons together on the fabric. Using a straight stitch on the sewing machine, sew straight along the edges of the ribbon. Fold the ends of the tape until the length of the tape equals the length of the cloth diaper. Sew completely around the ribbon. Repeat with the rest of the tape along the other seam on the cloth diaper.

Sew both ribbons

Once the two ribbons have been sewn to each side of the cloth diaper, you now have the finished product.
